The objectives of these audits are:

  • to analyse and check the company's CSR policies,
  • to ensure the integration of environmental, social and ethical issues in the overall management of the company,
  • to check that the company implements its own CSR policy.

 
Orange draws on the requirements listed in its code of conduct and standards (SA 8000, ISO 14001...) to conduct such audits.

To reinforce verification of the integration of international social standards by their common suppliers (and subcontractors), Orange, Deutsche Telekom and Telecom Italia, created the Joint Audit Cooperation (JAC) in 2010. It is a cooperation of telecommunications operators which aims, using a common methodology, to verify, evaluate and promote standards and best practices in outsourcing and to establish corrective action plans.

Since 2014, the JAC has had 13 members: AT&T, Deutsche Telekom, KPN, Orange, Proximus, Rogers, Swisscom, Telefonica, Telenor, Telia Company, TIM,  Verizon et Vodafone
